East Meets West...?

Description

Somewhere...sometime...two castles ...on two hills...from two completely different time zones...let alone...times in history...came face to face.

What happened?

Well...there was no translator on hand for the mysterious figure clad in red armor. And on the other hand...no one could quite understand what the fellow in silver armor could say thanks to his helmet.

The only thing that was understood...was that on that day...the Samurai and the Knight met...

YOU DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS.

Okay OKay, enough of that - yeah, this is my latest, I have NO idea where it came from...but I wanted to see it through.I've always loved samurai and knights, so why not. Also, I did spend time researching, so their armor would be correct. The samurai - is clad in red O-Yoroi armor; arguably the finest of its time in Japan - the heaviest, the flashiest, and reserved for higher rank samurai. Also - he is wearing a face mask that comes with the helmet - which often had mustaches. As for the knight, well, he's wearing Medieval Plate Armor - specifically, I modeled his after a combination of Germanic and Gothic Plate Armor. I liked Maximillian...but it was too complicated to render. The backgrounds are basic renders of classic Japanese style and European style castles. Complete with matching clouds. Compared to my last few, this is one of my better technical pieces I'd say.

And with that, enjoy.

Both are so similar, yet so different. But I think both are awesome.
